The Nexus Alpha environmental policy is as follows:
Policy
The purpose of this document is to define the Company’s environmental objectives and values. It identifies environmentally harmful practices and defines a more environmentally friendly way of working.
Scope
This Policy applies to the activities of all Employees, and Contractors employed by the Company.
General Principals
Nexus Alpha Group Holdings Limited (the ‘Organisation’) recognises the importance of Environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in fulfilment of its compliance obligations.
Executive Commitment
The Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Team demonstrate commitment to the Environmental Management System by:
Ensuring that the Environmental Policy and Environmental Objectives are established and are compatible with the strategic direction and the context of the organisation.
Ensuring the integration of the Environmental Management System requirements into the organisation’s business processes.
Communicating the importance of effective Environmental Management and of conforming to the requirements of the environmental Management System.
Ensuring that resources needed for the Environmental Management System are available.
Directing and supporting people in contributing to the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System.
Ensuring that the Environmental Management System achieves its intended outcomes and promote continuous improvement.
Assess the Environmental effects of the organisations activities following significant change or events.
Ensuring Emergency Procedures are in place and communicated to all relevant persons.
Being accountable for the effectiveness of the Environmental Management system and taking action when required.
Employee Responsibilities
It is the responsibilities of all Employees to protect the Environment and to continually improve the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System by:
Using energy efficiently
Preventing emissions to air, land & watercourses
Assessing material quantity requirements to minimise wastage
Aligning production processes to minimise wastage.
Controlling environmental nuisance from noise emissions from production operation.
Update their cyclical training in Environmental Awareness in relation to the businesses activities.
Integrate the lifecycle perspective into all business activities.
Implementation
It is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer to ensure the implementation of standards across the business, oversee effective internal and external audits and ensure the Environmental Policy is regularly reviewed in order to ensure its continuing suitability.
Communication
The Environmental Policy is communicated to all employees, is published on the Company Website and is included in procurement and tendering processes.
