My Role at Nexus Alpha LPS

I joined the company in 2016 as an engineer building, installing and supporting our systems. I have progressed to managing our clients, supporting them through various stages of their  projects. This allows us to provide our clients with what they want with the best value whilst being there for them when they need us.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy walking and cycling in the countryside, spending time looking out at the beauty of nature. I often walk to my local team ground The Fleet to support them which is a healthy 8 mile round trip. I also play in my local pool and darts leagues although I will admit I wish I was better at both.

My fun fact

I once did a job for David Suchet who made me a lovely cup of tea and I once worked off Tetney Monobouy in 120mph gusts of wind and driving rain, nearly getting blown off the Monkey Island!

Chris Allen

My Role at Nexus Alpha LPS

I joined the company in 2005 Initially as an engineering technician involved in assembly and on-site installations and maintenance.

I moved to CAD after two years where I am responsible for metalwork design and overseeing manufacture and assembly.

My experience in engineering and site work has helped to achieve products that not only look good but are easy to install and maintain.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I am a part time musician and have been writing and playing music in a semiprofessional way for many years.

I have released many albums on the Damaged Goods label and have enjoyed touring in the UK and Europe.

I enjoy motorcycling, including European touring, and have owned countless motorcycles to date.

I own a small camper van and like to spend as many weekends as possible at coast side camp sites with my wife and friends.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Many years ago, whilst Christmas shopping, I was mistaken for David Essex by a woman on the till counter of Argos. She rushed off to get her friend from the warehouse who was a fan. The queue of shoppers waiting behind me were not amused.

Russell Sangha

Production Manager

My Role at Nexus Alpha LPS

I joined the company in 2007 in the role of electronics technician.  I assisted with assembly and commissioning of new systems, alongside providing hands on support to existing systems in the field. My role quickly expanded and I was heavily involved with the mechanical and electronic design of the first generation Chronos systems.  Today I am Production Manager and oversee the design and build of new systems and still getting my hands dirty when I can. 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love being in nature and like to experience it in lots of ways, climbing, hiking, touring on a bicycle or something with an engine.  I am a huge motorsport fan and like to see it in person as often as I can.

My fun fact

I once slid around 50m down a hill after coming off my bicycle on a muddy road. I have run over my own foot. More than once!

Jacob Morgan

Junior Hardware/Mechanical Support Engineer

My Role at Nexus Alpha LPS

I joined the Company in October 2023 to support projects and production working alongside the software and electronics design teams and assisting with client installations across the Country.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I like to keep active, play badminton and enjoy art & museums.

My fun fact

I once booked a beautiful hotel in Italy purely because of the view, only to find when we arrived it was a 45-minute uphill walk every time we went out!
